SCRIPTURAL CONFESSIONS FOR WOMEN BELIEVING GOD FOR THEIR LIFE PARTNER
Heavenly Father, I thank You because Your word is settled in heaven, and Your faithfulness endures to all generations (Ps119:89). You have said that it is not good that my husband should be alone, and therefore you have created me an help meet for him (Gen 3:18). The steps of my husband are ordered by You Lord, and You delight to turn him towards me (Ps 37:23). He will find me and obtain favor of the Lord (Pr 18:22)
Creator of Heaven and Earth, I praise You because my body is fearfully and wonderfully made (Ps 139:14). My husband will set me as a seal upon his heart, as a seal upon his arm (SS 8:6a). He will remark how fair and pleasant I am (SS 7:6a), I will be his and his desire shall be towards me alone (SS7:10). You have commanded that he will leave his mother and his father and cleave unto me and we shall be one flesh (Gen 3:24).
You have said Lord, that whatever things I ask in prayer, believing, I will receive (Matt 21:22). And like Rebekah Lord, I know you are bringing my own husband to me (Gen 24). I thank You Lord, because like Esther, I know my husband will love me above all women, and I will obtain grace and favor in his sight (Esth 2:17). He will set his ring upon my hand, and we will be glad and rejoice in You (SS1:4b).
My husband will have a good reputation. He will be sober, respectable, hospitable and able to teach God’s will (1 Tim 3:2). He will be gifted, handsome, courageous and well-spoken. A man who walks with God (1 Sam 16:18). He will not be stubborn or irritable, a drunk or violent. He will not use shameful ways to make money (Tit 1:7).
My husband’s heart will safely trust in me, and he will never regret that trust. I will do him good and not evil all the days of my life. I will open my mouth with wisdom, and in my tongue will be the law of kindness. He will be known in the gates, and he will sit among the elders of the land (Prov 31:11, 23, 26).
I thank You Father God Almighty that I will not be alone or lonely (Ps 68:6a), that I will indeed be a fruitful vine by the sides of my husband’s house (Ps128:3a). I rejoice because two are better than one and my husband and I will have a good reward for our labor. When one of us falls, the other will lift up; when we lie together, we will have heat; and if anyone prevails against one of us, together we shall withstand him (Eccl 4:9-12).
You are not a man O God, that You should lie, nor the son of man that You should repent. You have said it, and You will do it. You have spoken, and You will make it good. (Num 23:19). I will not cast away my confidence, which has great reward and I will be patient Lord because Your word says that after I have done Your will, I will receive the promise (Heb 10: 35, 36).
I thank you Lord, that the weapons of my warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Cor 10:4). I come against Satan, all his cohorts, and all manner of oppression against me in Jesus’ name. I pull down all strongholds of the enemy concerning me in Jesus’ name. I nullify any curse upon my life in Jesus’ name. I break any evil covenant I have made (knowingly or unknowingly), or that has been made on my behalf, by invoking the higher covenant sealed with the blood of Jesus (Heb 9:12).
I bless Your holy name Lord, for You have promised that they shall not be ashamed who wait for You (Isa 49:23), so I will hold fast the confession of my hope without wavering, for I know that He who promised is faithful (Heb 10:23).
I give you all the glory and all the praise Lord, in Jesus’ name. Amen
